Hi there, I'm Tim Martin

Find out a little more about me...
Life, real life, started very early for me – I was just 18 years old when I joined the London Metropolitan Police and when I met and married Sheila, my dear, loyal wife, with whom I have a wonderful 20 year old son, Lewis.

The Met is a harsh place for a young man to grow-up in: it absorbs you both physically and mentally, and it put a huge strain on me. Committing to a life of fighting drug traffickers, murderers and terrorists is not easy but it did teach me an awful lot about people and the way they operate.

Having worked as a Detective Sergeant at New Scotland Yard, I always knew there was more to life. My team and colleagues were very important to me and I knew that I could find other ways in my life to reach out to people. Unfortunately, it took the death of a very good friend and a healthy slice of luck for me to see take the leap and see the world differently.

In 2000, I entered the London Marathon although I weighed over 20 stone at the time. I sought the help of a friend who was a qualified hypnotherapist and NLP expert to lose weight. It worked; I completed the marathon and started a new chapter in my life. However, these days my love of cooking has counteracted my fitness regime and am fondly know as ‘Tandoori Tim’.

The rest, as they say, is history.
